President's Report
Hi all,
Hope all is good with you and your families and that covid isn’t stressing you all out too much.
As a club we are working within the rules and I must say thank you for the way the Feb comp went off. We had a very good comp as far as fish go, some very nice snapper coming in and thanks for the efforts of Bryan Shepherd who the marlin prize went out to, great stuff. Bryan also weighed in a very nice yellow fin, as did a new member Angus Holmes. Nice work guys!! Bryan is also the owner of Top Cru along with Roberta, Neil and Donna, one of the major sponsors for the weekend.
Also a very big thank you to our other big sponsors: Matamata Sportsworld, Matamata Butchery, Begovich Builders and the Stihl Shop that supplied that awesome BBQ going on the night.
This month is a comp that everyone looks forward to, ‘The Big Fish’. Made up of cash prizes it is very proudly sponsored by Challenge, Matamata Veterinary Services, PlumbCo, King Electrical, Matamata Marine and Waharoa Transport. A big thanks to Glen and Sharon of Waharoa Transport, there is a large kids section so get them out on the water. Don’t forget all game fish must be caught within the boundaries of the IGFA rules, please do a bit of light reading before the comp to familiarise yourself with the rules.
