President's Report
Hi, hope you are all good in these unusual times we are all going through at the moment.
If you were at the March Big Fish comp you will know it was a great day,plenty of people of all ages and lots of fish weighed in. If you weren’t there you missed something quiet special.
A big thankyou must go out to our sponsors, all who have been supporting the club for a long time. In no particular order I would like to thank on your behalf: Challenge Matamata, Matamata Marine, Matamata Vets, Plumbco, King Electrical and of course for the children’s section, Waharoa Transport. Just a wee note on the fish that were weighed in 95% of them presented to the weigh master were in awesome condition, please note though there were the odd ones that were lacking a bit of care and attention and the weigh master should not have to handle fish that are not at their best, ice is cheap.
Our next comp was set down for the 4th and 5th of April, as a committee we have had to act in the best interest of the members and your wellbeing and have no other choice than to cancel the April competition. What happens after that we don’t know but will keep you posted.
Even though we are not having the comp I would like to acknowledge the support of our sponsors LJ Hooker, Matamata Auto services and electrical, and of course the kids’ section, Waharoa Transport. Well everybody be safe and take care of your families.
