July Newsletter 2019

President's Report

Hi fellow members,

I hope the winter is going ok for you, and like many of my friends you’re still getting a line in the water. This newsletter is a bit like two in one in some ways, the last one for the 18/19 season and the first for the 19/20 season kicking off on the 7th and 8th of September, with our wonderful sponsors Mitre 10 and Signtint.

While the July comp did not see huge numbers at the club rooms there was a very enthusiastic crowd on hand to share in the fun. The line-up of prizes was once again awesome, our sponsors of Matamata Tractors and Machinery, Bell and Graham Solicitors, and New World combined to make a great weekend of it. I’m sure you will all agree those New World gift baskets looked fantastic.

Before our next competition we have two very important events coming up, the prizegiving on Saturday night the of 3rd August, and of course the AGM on Wednesday night the 7th of August. The competition between anglers and boats has been excellent with many results going down to the wire. Please make an effort to come along to the prizegiving and share in the celebration for these clubs’ members. The evening will start around 5.30pm with a free light meal for you all, see you there.

I would like to say a great big thankyou to our committee, they do an excellent job each and every month on your behalf. If you feel you could be part of our awesome team come along to the AGM and step up. Also of course if you have ideas on how we can do things better for you, the members, come along and have your say, your input is always very welcome.

Tight lines,

Bungey
