President's Report

Hi all, another season gone and unfortunately another year off the life clock ah. As a president of our awesome club, I have really enjoyed the season. Looking back we have had excellent numbers at our weigh ins, prizegivings and a great mixture of ladies and children creating a really nice atmosphere.

I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our committee very much. A president only has the ability to do a good job if he or she has a good team around them in support, and I can tell you our team does an awesome job for you all.

I would also like to take another chance to thank our sponsors. Please where you can support our sponsors in return by shopping with them. I’m sure you will realise that we are one of the best supported clubs in town and our awesome line up of prizes each month is testament to that.

Our first contest of the new season is on the 1st and 2nd of September, this year again. It is sponsored by our very own Mitre 10 and our very own talented SignTint team in town.

Coming up on the 11th of August is our very enjoyable annual prize giving. This will be a good one, it’s on a Saturday night and a free light meal will be provided for those who attend. On that note, can you please txt me on 0274 728 674 with name and numbers attending, this will be a big help for the catering.

After that comes the AGM on the Wednesday the 15th of August, come along and have your say on the running of our great club. Also, we are always on the look out for committee members, if you think you would like to have a crack come along and put your name forward, we would love to add you to our awesome team. I would like to let you know that there will be three proposals up for discussion at the AGM:

1. Look at bringing start time forward to 5pm on a Friday.

2. To cut the fish numbers you can weigh in to 4.

3. Fishing season to finish at the end of the July Competition.

These are rule changes up for discussion so come along and have your say, see you there.

Happy Fishing

Bungey

P.S. Thank you all very much for your kind words and support for Latham, he is fighting a good fight and hopefully his cheeky wee smile will be seen down at the club real soon.
